"Self vs Collective"

This project is an examination of the tension between the individual and the collective.

From early childhood begins the distortion of the self. 

A person learns to identify her/himself in relation to others.

To unite with the collective, you cannot see yourself within it.

Our view is made crooked and fractured by the fact that we are too a part of the picture.

Looked at from all directions, she/he is always de-centered.

According to theorist Lacan, we and our unconscious are structured like language and language is as fictional as our image in the mirror.

The pronoun "I" is simply an empty container, which only reflects whoever is using it at the given time.

Your "I" is also my "I"; no one holds authorship. We only haunt it's parameter, just as our image haunts the mirror.
